Buttonwood Books and Toys of Cohasset had a novel idea.  They offered patrons the opportunity to purchase a book at a significant savings to pass on to a child experiencing homelessness.  Thank you Buttonwood Books & Toys - for your good deeds and good reads for our kids!

Community support is the cornerstone of our efforts to provide the educational tools our students need for school.  We could not provide these materials without the help of individuals, businesses and other institutions, who rally to stock our shelves - or who visit us to customize backpacks according to grade level.  Together we give students what they need for school, including books to foster a child's natural curiosity and a life-long love for learning.

If you or your group or business would like to stage a supply drive, come in to help customize backpacks, or have another novel idea, we'd love to hear from you.

School on Wheels is grateful to the companies and foundations that support our work on behalf of students impacted by homelessness in Massachusetts.  Our mission is to keep students on track and in school during times of uncertainty and disruption.  We do this by providing customized, grade-level backpacks and school supplies, one-on-one tutoring and mentoring and college assistance to some of the 21,000+ students enrolled in Massachusetts public schools who have no place to call home.  Thank you for making a difference!
