Employer Matching

Many companies will match the gifts of current and retired employees, and their spouses.  Ask the Human Resources or Benefits Office at your workplace for ways to match your donation to our student programs.

Planned GIving

Consider making us part of your trust, bequest or endowment.  For information, email Kathleen Graham at This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it..

A planned gift ensures the continuation of our landmark programs, such as tutoring, mentoring and school supplies, and creates a legacy in your name on behalf of Massachusetts children facing homelessness.

TRIBUTE

A tribute card makes a great gift for teachers, coaches, family and friends. A gift to SOWMA is a wonderful way to honor someone's birthday, anniversary or special occasion.   CLICK HERE to purchase a tribute card.  We will send a personalized, hand-written note of acknowledgment to the recipient of your generous and thoughtful gift.

HOST A FUNDRAISER

Stage a fundraising event to help provide our students with the tools and support they need to be successful in school. SOWMA also provides many supervised community service opportunities.  Students learn about family homelessness in our state and how their support makes a difference in the life of a child.  Contact This email address is being protected from spambots. PAY FORWARD PARty GIFTS

  • It's a party that keeps giving. Looking for a new way to celebrate a special day without accumulating more things? Why not ask guests to contribute a monetary donation, backpacks, school supplies, or books to pass along to peers facing hardship.  Holiday parties are another great time to pay it forward for children in your community.

School on Wheels of Massachusetts last year equipped more than 6,000 students facing homelessness with fully-stocked and customized backpacks, books and supplies.  There has been an extraordinary increase in the need for academic support for the fall.  Due to Covid-19 and social distancing, our inventory has simultaneously been compromised as more than 120 summer supply drives and in-house volunteer groups were forced to cancel.  Whether schools commence online or in class, the need for academic materials is greater than ever.  Thank you for helping to ensure that every Massachusetts student is prepared for school this fall.

Below are the items needed for our inventory.  To support students from the comfort of your home, please see the many ways you can help by clicking here.
