School Supply Donations
Set up a school supply drive at your school, business, library or place of worship. Ask your family, friends, and neigbors to help collect new backpacks, books, and school supplies to provide the necessary supplies students need for school. Click here to see what supplies we currently need. All items donated must be new.
Hosting a Read-a-Thon is a great way for schools to raise money for children impacted by homelessness, and at the same time encourage students to read more. Students collect pledges from family, friends, and neighbors for the amount of books read. A member of our SOWMA staff will visit your school to speak about family homelessness and how students can make a difference in their community.
School on Wheels Club
Students can join together and make a difference in the lives of children impacted by homelessness by forming a School on Wheels Club at their school. The club can coordinate school supply drives, car washes, and other fundraisers to support the services we provide to our students, while gaining valuable leadership and teambuilding skills.
