Kraft Family, NE Patriots Foundation and Gillette Stadium Honor SOWMA’s Chris Margulies

Twenty-six volunteers from across New England were recognized at Gillette Stadium by the Kraft Family, Gillette and the New England Patriots Foundation as part of the 2024 Myra Kraft Community MVP Awards.  Among those being honored was our star quarterback volunteer, Chris Margulies.

The award is the namesake of the late Myra Kraft, a legendary philanthropist and proponent of community volunteerism.  At the June luncheon, $275,000 in donations were distributed to the various nonprofits represented by each volunteer.

Margulies has been volunteering with SOWMA for some 16 of our 20 years.  She develops STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art and Math) curriculum for our tutoring programs, stages school supply drives, customizes and delivers backpacks – and is a passionate and effective voice for the children and youth we serve.

We are so proud of you, Chris.  You are a model volunteer who continues to change the lives of so many students who often feel invisible.  Thanks for being their champion – and ours ❤️.  For a look at one of Chris’s recent STEAM programs, click here.
