100 Families Challenge 2023

Thank you for meeting last June's match!

SOWMA’S 100 Families Challenge is a matching campaign made possible by Jay & Claudia Weed.

100 Families x $100 = $10,000
Every Dollar Matched by the Weed Family

= $20,000 in 2023!

More than $10,000 was donated during June 2023, and then generously matched by longtime supporters Jay & Claudia Weed.

That’s $20,000 for educational support for students impacted by homelessness thanks to you and the Weed family!

Every dollar raised during the month of June – up to $10,000 – is generously matched by the Weed Family. The goal is for 100 families, individuals, or groups to donate $100 to reach our goal of $10,000 with each dollar matched, $10,000 becomes $20,000, bringing the ultimate gift of educational opportunity to students facing homelessness. Thanks to all who met the match for students in need!

Your gift supports…

  • Tutoring at family shelters and community learning centers
  • Mentoring for high school, vocational and college students
  • Customized backpacks and “Tools for School” for more than 7,000 children and youth

We are thrilled to be supporting the 100 Families Challenge once again. School on Wheels continues to amaze us year after year. This organization is unique in its mission and breathtaking in its triumphs. SOWMA not only addresses the immediate needs of children facing homelessness, it alters their trajectory toward stability and success.
